My mother-in law is no longer able to drive, so we decided to sell her car and help her out financially. We called Kia Finance and received a payoff quote the address to send it along with all other supporting documents.
They claim they never received it, so we called and got a "different" payoff and a "different" address. Once again sent in the payoff with all supporting documents. Was assured that once the payoff was received that they would send out the lien release and title the following day.
They in fact did receive both payoff checks and have posted both to her account on the 25th of September. It is now October 5th and after over 10 hours of phones calls with complete inept and incompetence we were told that the account is still open, and we still do not have a lien release and title.
User's recommendation: Absolutely Not!
Preferred solution: Apology.
