I have been getting my financing through Kia Motors Finance for two years. It's been fine until recently.

In short, I set up an autopay in March. I received an email saying it went thru on March 9th. On April 4th I received an email that my auto payments were cancelled. After some phone calls I discover that I had incorrectly entered my account information when I enrolled for autopay.

So I have been overdue for my March payment for well over a month and was never informed. As a consumer, I want to pay my bills on time---thus the reason I set up autopay. However, the various Customer Service Reps I spoke with told me that it is not their responsibility to notify customers when these types of situations occur. Which tells me that they don't in fact value their customers because they make more money when late fees add up.

Very disappointing and I will be meeting with my bank to refinance. Very disrespectful and unprofessional business. Also, just a side note, they have had my name misspelled on my account for months and it took three different phone conversations before that was actually dealt with. It just seems like there is a huge lack of respect for consumers and after this lease is up I simply will not be dealing with Kia ever again.

I will persuade anyone who wants to deal with them that they should take their business to a company that is not so poorly managed and unprofessional towards consumers. It is simple and unsettling, but big corporations make money off of late fees. As one CSR put it: they can't be expected to notify customers of payments that don't go through.

In not doing something as simple as sending out an email as soon as a payment hasn't gone through, they are putting their customers at risk for collection/lowering of their credit scores/owing more money in late fees. It's not the way that we consumers expect to be treated when we are spending our hard-earned money.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Kia Motors Finance Cons: How they have screwed up my credit.

Location: Austin, Texas

Kia motor, my worse nightmare, i am so pleased i am done with them, no one that I know will ever deal with them ever. They are disrespectful, deceitful and racist.

in short from management to sales personal. I mistakenly put disell in my car, towed it there in the night, called the new morning and they told me that if they drain the tank i will be charged $670, I told him not to fix it because my cousin is going to do it for free, they told me, they have fix it and if I don't pay the money up front, extra $40 every day that the car stays with them, i tried to let them understand my condition, I was pregnant and was having troubles with the pregnancy and so I wasn't working, so they should give me time like 2 weeks to pay if they can't add it to my payment plan, long story short, the service manager was disrespectful, hanged his phone on me, a friend payed the money, and in 2 weeks i got a letter from court, i stole my own car less than $1000 value, l had never been to court and so, got so scared and stressed out, lost my pregnancy, had theft on my records, i managed to get the manager on phone and he told me he doesn't care.

I am a nurse, I had to struggle to get that theft from my records before I could get any job. In short, Kia, never ever will i ever allow anyone that i know go through this trouble.
